Cecil's Cajun Kitchen: Experience Authentic Cajun Flavors in DeRidder, LA

A friend and I had lunch there today and it was top notch! All the wait staff were watching to make sure our food came out quickly. Everything we ordered was delicious and we even had to bring leftovers home. The atmosphere is great! Bathrooms clean! I can't say one negative thing about our visit there. We will be back!!!

My husband said the Ragin Cajun burger was the best he ever had! It was so good he didn't want to finish it! Me and two others in our party had the prime rib sandwich and it was so delicious! Ask for extra horseradish!! We can't wait to drive an hour to eat here again.

Our first time at Cecil’s was absolutely perfect. We asked the staff what we should order and she walked us through the whole menu. We got the boudin egg rolls, which are cheesy and delicious. Pro tip: add Cecil’s seasoning to their ranch sauce. Gives it an awesome kick!! Ragin Cajun burger was tasty, but the shrimp n grits are absolutely stellar!! So good guys, thanks!!

I’d give this place more stars if I could. First off, the hosts/hostess took down our number for our party to call us when a table was available. That should be standard across all restaurants. As soon as you walk in you are received with the traditional southern hospitality that many people desire. Treat people how you would to be treated. The server we had was on top of her stuff. We never had to ask for refills as she was constantly filling our drinks. Food came out in a timely manner. The live music was great and she had a variety of vocal ranges. My hats off to her. The food. I got the fried catfish tacos with onion rings. The onion rings could use a little bit of work, but I do understand it was a little busy so no worries. The batter on the catfish alone was absolutely loaded with flavor. Then once you get the bite with the mellow cabbage, that wicked banging sauce and pico it was just depth after depth of flavor. Best fish tacos I’ve ever had in my life hands down. Overall this place is comforting to sit down and just eat. 10/10

I met some friends and everything was great. I had the broiled fish tacos and I added fried okra as my side. The only bad comment I can say about the tacos was that it needed a little more heat either in the pico or something in the aioli. The fried okra was on point! My friend had a boiled shrimp salad and it looked amazing, I've had one on a previous visit. I like to try something new each time go

The food was a little different than I've experienced in other regions of south Louisiana! The service was great! can't beat the hospitality ! The jambalaya and chicken gumbo tasted the same . The atmosphere was a typical bar n grill feel! Had Upstairs and outside patio dining!

The food was pretty good! The menu online and the menu in house are very different. I feel like the waitress rushed us and the only time she was slightly entertained was when bringing our bill.
